Jerry O'Connell's run?[edit]

The cast list on the right sidebar lists O'Connell as being on the show from 88-91, which is the duration of the show. Was there a part of one of the seasons where he wasn't on the show? IMDB says exactly the same thing. I remember watching this as a kid, but not to that level of detail. -- stubblyhead | T/c 04:28, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jerry O'Connell's run[edit]

JO'C was in every episode of the show's run, as was Derek McGrath. Other actors did occasionally sit out episodes or make very limited appearances in them. ladyslvr 05:51, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other details[edit]

I remember that in the show's beginnings, Andrew was a comic book fanboy. He wanted to use his new found superpowers to become a superhero called Ultraman (Whether or not it was a reference to the Japanese superhero by the same name I don't know.). Plus he had a nickname for Dr. Jeffcoat, "Dr.J". Sarujo 05:49, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ret-Conned Character?[edit]

I was surfing the net the other day about MSI and recall finding a page that spoke shortly of a character from the first season who was dropped from later seasons even though the character was supposed to be a good friends with the main character. I think this may have been Jeff, played by Robert Haiat; can anyone give me some more info? Also, I thought I remembered that Andrew had revealed to the same character his secret identity; is this true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.145.148.137 (talk) 18:32, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up.[edit]

I removed all the rampant speculation about his powers and possible motivations and emotions. I also removed the pseudo-scientific speculation trying to rationalize his powers, the creepy discussion of how the actors changed during puberty, and a number of other problems. Let's see references before adding much more to this article. ThuranX (talk) 20:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Setting?[edit]

I remember the show being set in Canada, so was surprised to see it in North Dakota on a meme mapping the most popular TV show set in each US state. I came to Wikipedia to check, and find a fairly clear answer:

"The main setting in the show is Toronto but mainly takes place in the fictional suburb of Briarwood"

Well, that seems straightforward. But then, why is this page in Category:Television shows set in North Dakota? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.243.132.19 (talk) 11:22, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It includes a picture of the cast, and a complete listing of episodes with date aired, as well as a set-up of what the show is about. It seems like a start class to me. Elishabet (talk) 12:50, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photon beam[edit]

The term "photon beam" tells us nothing since an ordinary torch sends out a photon beam when turned on. In the first episode, Dr Jeffcoate says it was gamma rays, which outside of comics is deadly radiation, which may be why they were not mentioned later?
