Merge into Giselle[edit]

This would be well merged into Giselle, much as Rothbart was into Swan Lake, — Robert Greer (talk) 20:55, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. See Talk:Giselle. Zaslav (talk) 19:56, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Difficulties"[edit]

This section is pointless. The weakening of Myrtha's powers is a main plot point. It has nothing to do with the favorability of the reception of the ballet. I am deleting that section, but putting it here just in case of disagreement. Zaslav (talk) 20:00, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Difficulties: Myrtha's powers seem to diminish somewhat when she is faced with an extraordinarily loving wili like Giselle. This did not stop the ballet from becoming a triumph at its première and it has remained in ballet repertoires throughout the world ever since.
