According to John Mashey's NUMAFlex Essay and various posts on USENET NUMALink and CrayLink are both marketing names, CrayLink being used after SGI aquired Cray and later changed to NUMALink after they sold Cray. However NUMALink/CrayLink is an SGI developed interconnect having nothing to do with Cray, and the early naming of it was purely a marketing decision.--RageX 11:20, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jeez - this thing reads like marketing propoganda -- Jim

Hierarchical, mesh, hypercube, or point-to-point?[edit]

Is NUMAlink point-to-point like Intel QuickPath or AMD HyperTransport, or is it a fat-tree. mesh, or hyupercube? WorldQuestioneer (talk) 21:13, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
