  • Lead:"CMLL had held the NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship for over 48 years, when the relationship between the promotion and National Wrestling Alliance broke down in March 2010, when Blue Demon Jr., the president of NWA Mexico, sent letters to CMLL, telling them to stop promoting the NWA-branded championships since they were not part of the NWA." This runs on a bit. Can it be broken into two sentences? I'd throw the full stop in after "March 2010" and start a new sentence from "Blue Demon Jr." onwards.
  • Background: You repeat the full "National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)" twice in successive paragraphs. You might want to check to make sure you're not using a lot of duplicate wikilinks as well.
  • However, upon fixing that, you'll end up with the sentence "In the late 1980s, EMLL left the NWA to avoid the politics of the NWA." That'd read a lot better if one of the "NWA"'s was swapped out with something else. I'd suggest swapping the second instance with "the organization." That'll stop it from being repetitive in the following sentence as well.
  • "In 1953" - stick a comma after 1953
  • "In 1991" - add a comma here as well
  • "On September 26, 1991" - after this too
  • "In 2010" - here too. Wondering if I've turned into the Comma Nazi in my old age.
  • "NWA World Ligh Heavyweight Champion" - typo on "Light"
  • Reigns: "Rey Bucanero is the current champion, he is the only" - change the comma to a semicolon.
  • "is also the shortest reigning champion as he was the champion for 124 days from August to December 2010." I get the idea, but how about "held the title for the shortest reign between August and December 2010, a total of 124 days." It's pretty pedantic, but "shortest reigning champion" might be read as heigh, not reign length initially.
  • Comma after "In early 2015"
  • Tournaments: Duplicate link on Shocker (wrestler)
  • Is there a cite for "Bucanero became the first champion to have not also held the previous NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship."
  • Title history: You can drop the "(s)" from "Ref(s)" on the second table, since you only use a single citation for each row
  • No issues with the citation formats, or the images. All are good.
  • That's the lot. All nit picks I'm afraid! Ping me back when you've had a chance to look at them. Placing the GAN on hold for the second days, although let me know if you need more time. Miyagawa (talk) 14:42, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you Miyagawa, and now I know why I had a pile of commas left over after writing the article ;-) I believe I have address all issues except finding a reference for Rey Bucanero being the first to not hold the old version. It's a matter of proving a negative - looking at the article for the old championship all reigns are fully sourced there. But perhaps I can find a source showing all NWA world LH champs to show Rey Bucanero was not on it while the other title holders were? Would that work?  MPJ-DK  17:15, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Miyagawa: - Added the source, I believe that is all issues addressed?  MPJ-DK  22:56, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Great, happy to promote to GA on that basis. Miyagawa (talk) 22:16, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
