Her titles[edit]

[1] I'm not an expert on Malay titles but her title seems to be Dato' Sri per the parliament website. Although many sources including the one for awarding of the Pahang title from Bernama say "Datuk Seri", I'm going to assume the parliament website is correct since our article Malay styles and titles which I'm hoping is correct says the correct title awarded by Pahang is Dato' Sri. I think this is the higher title so takes precedence over the Sarawak title. I'm not completely opposed to changing to Datuk Seri given the number of sources which uses since even out Orders, decorations, and medals of Pahang article can't seem to make up its mind although I'd note that [2] also uses Dato' Sri for SSAP so I'm thinking it just sloppy news sources.

The existing source says the Sarawak title is "Datuk" which likewise agrees with our article. While there is some mention of Datin Paduka for Sabariah Putit which confuses me a bit, there is none for Nancy Shukri. (I'm not sure why two titles are mentioned for Sabariah Putit. I suspect it means as a female title holder she can choose if she wants to be Datu as her male counterparts are called or Datin Paduka. Our Order of Meritorious Service to Sarawak says Datu while Orders, decorations, and medals of Sarawak#Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (D.J.B.S.) (Order of Meritorious Service to Sarawak) only mentions Datin Paduka for that title. It's irrelevant here anyway.) I've added another source which also says Datuk for Nancy Shukri's Sarawak title.

While Datin Paduka (or variants thereof) may be used for female title holders from some states, and perhaps this practice is extended to female title holders from others for various reasons, we should go by what the sources say and none of them seem to support it for either of her titles. (I mean I'm sure some there is some source which uses Datin Paduka for her, but most of the sources I'm seeing are Datuk Seri or some variant thereof.)
