Film location[edit]

According to the interview on the German DVD version Napoleonville was the location for the filming of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Gathering_of_Old_Men" after Ernest J. Gaines's novel. [Ulizinho, 8-7-2009] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.54.210.214 (talk) 21:09, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Naming[edit]

In this text is written the unsourced statement "The town was named by a soldier who served under Napoleon Bonaparte. The soldier is buried in the nearby town of Plattenville in the Cemetery of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church located on Hwy 308 south.[citation needed]", whereas in the German Wikipedia (article about the parish) is written the equally unsourced statement that it was "benannt nach J. L. Napoleon, einem hier ansässigen Plantagenbesitzer" (="named for J.L. Napoleon, a local plantation owner").
