True Naqvis From Amroha[edit]

Some of Naqvis migrated to Amroha,India from Wasit, Iraq in 14 Century.The generation of Amrohvie Naqvis was started from Sayed Sharfuddin Shah Vilayat Naqvi,who was a highly respected religious figure in India during the early ages of Islam in the Indian subcontinent.Majority of Amrohvie muslims are Naqvis,Shi'a and Sunni both.The Amrohvies are highly respected in India as well as in Pakistan. Amroha is well known because of Mazaar of Dada Sayed Sharfuddin Shah Vilayat where Scorpios never bite. Half of generation of Dada Sahrfuddin Shah Vilayat lives still in Amroha,India and half of them migrated again to Pakistan in 1947.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya[edit]

Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia is also from 10th Imam Ali Al Naqi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nizamuddin) hence be considered as Naqvi and his name could be included in article under notable names. Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Syeds Naqvi be merged into Naqvi, as they are about the same topic. The emphsis on Indian Naqvis in Syeds Naqvi in unnecessary, as it is one family. "Syed" is merely an honorific, as is well explained in paragraph 2 of Naqvi. --Stfg (talk) 09:20, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Support: "Syed" is only a cast name or an honourific. All Naqvis are Syeds. That article is simply a fork of this one. It might be nominated for speedy deletion under that criteria but I presume that it has information not already covered in this article and should be merged. If a reviewer verifies that no extra information is present, I'd support speedy deletion of that article and a redirect here. --lTopGunl (talk) 17:48, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
