Recreation appears to improve on previously identified flaws[edit]

As an administrator, I routinely patrol edits by new editors. This article showed up. I noted that the article had been previously deleted in an AfD discussion. The closing admin made these comments in the close:

Importantly, no notability has been asserted in the article and none of the keepers have been able to source anything notable, for example awards or independent reviews in significant publications.

The sourcing has been addressed, as there are citations of the Arizona Times, two Contra Costa papers, and the San Francisco Chronicle. As a result, and after reviewing the article as it existed during the AfD, the article appears to be sufficiently improved that it is not subject to speedy deletion under criterion G4, recreation of deleted material. —C.Fred (talk) 12:07, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for making sure its up to par, I worked really hard. I reinserted some stuff I believe was taken out by error.NoContaronConMíAstucia (talk) 13:00, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. I worked on the last draft, but, alas, could not save it. Also a shame all the old info from the previous (two!) versions was lost. Ah, well. Also, No contaron con mi astucia, love the nick, but your nombre no debería llevar tilde. —Wiki Wikardo 06:04, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is frustrating. :-P I was a heavy editor on the last Nation's article, now all my work is gone! 63.195.123.31 (talk) 22:25, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it sucks, I googled around and couldn’t find a copy before, but maybe another look-see at Deletionpedia or something’ll turn something up. Or, ideally, if you could remember any unique wording from the previous article and search for that exact string…? —Wiki Wikardo 00:36, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the version that was deleted after the AfD, and it contained a fraction of what's in the current article. Certainly that version isn't worth salvaging. —C.Fred (talk) 00:40, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Official Disgruntled Old Coot Opinion[edit]

As a consumer who slavered with delight and whose liver quivers at the mere thought of chowing down upon the various vittles I ate when residing within a shanty in Concord, CA I can attest to the yumminess of the breakfasts and burgers and fries I devoured at Nations.

I never had room for the pie but the "real food" I ate their was moderately priced with ample portions.

Perhaps those memories have been negated by changes after I departed for the hills and hollers of the Ozark Plateau but for those who may wonder about the firm's fare let my opinion remain that what I read in the front page article was accurate, at least to when I departed in 1993. Events such as new openings after I departed I leave to thee as to accuracy.

And, you younguns above me, cease thine dern' squabbling or I'll cut a switch and give y'all a session behind the woodshed! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Obbop (talkcontribs) 16:43, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
