List article

This could be a list article. Otherwise, it is unclear how it is supposed to differ from the main Native Americans in the United States topic. If it wants to discuss traditional or pre-contact cultures, the least it could do would be to divide the topic along the major linguistic phyla and/or cultural areals, there is simply no point in writing an article about Alaskan, Plains, Uto-Aztecan and Muscogee cultures "in context" any more than a random page about Icelandic, Iberian and Anatolian culture. It it wants to be about contemporary "Native American" identity in the 20th to 21st century, it should lose all the colonial and pre-contact material as off topic. But what I suspect is behind this page is the basic comparison between Mesolithic tribal culture on one hand, and industrialised/modern culture on the other. In that case, the topic has nothing to do with the United States whatsoever, and is basically an examination on how "modernity" differs form pre-modern tribalism. There are pages dedicated to that, such as Mesolithic, Tribalism and Modernity. --dab (𒁳) 12:47, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Irrelevant/Dead Links to be Removed

Hello!

Adding suggestion here following attempt to remove links myself and being advised by an editor to leave a note for someone more experienced to do it.

On this page, references 13 and 15 contain links to a website "bluecloud.org". The archive links are correct as they highlight what the website did look like, however the current "live" links are irrelevant as the site appears to have changed hands, and now contains content related to health/bodybuilding.

These live links to "bluecloud.org" should be removed. KarlTippins (talk) 09:28, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

You're absolutely correct - my error - fixed with this edit, I hope. Thank you. Incidentally, in my note on your talkpage I certainly didn't intend to suggest that you should not make these corrections yourself, and I hope I didn't offend you - I merely suggested that you should follow the steps at the help page I linked to fix problematic cites, rather than entirely deleting the citation(s), with the option to get help from another editor if you found that easier. My apologies if I phrased it badly. -- Begoon 09:50, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
No offence taken at all, my Wiki editing is clunky at best so more than happy to stick to suggestions and let you guys work your magic! KarlTippins (talk) 11:57, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

Literature?

What is THE most comprehensive scientific survey over the history of northamerican indians (focus on technology, sociology, ecology and religion), please? Especially if there is none please list the basic scientific literature and add the list to the article. Thanks. HilmarHansWerner (talk) 00:15, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
