Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because it contains important information in regards to a fictional character. I specifically went to Wikipedia to find information about this character. As Wikipedia is supposed to help the readers find information on a variety of topics, I believe that this article is very helpful in doing so and should therefore be exempt from deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.249.188.20 (talk) 23:46, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Concur with the above. This page COULD use dramatic improvements, but it is notable in that it is a main character in a relatively recent TV series, and it is entirely common for such characters to get their own page. For example, I just checked the Firefly page (for the TV series, of course, not the invertebrate), and Malcolm Reynolds has his own page, despite being on a show that A.) had less episodes and B.) less viewers. Moreover, I read through the list of valid reasons for "Speedy Deletion" and it being a largely vanity page IS NOT listed. I'm unbiased in that I've never watched White Collar, I only came here because someone referenced the character and I threw the name into Google, and as I was reading through the article it struck me as being overly vain and in need of a rewrite, but not deletion and CERTAINLY not "speedy deletion" which is a specific term that this article DOES NOT meet the basic criteria for. --Waladil (talk) 10:07, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
