Nefarious: Christo-fascist propaganda"[edit]

Shouldn't the fact the film is being marketed as a horror movie but is in fact christian propaganda be included in the article? The producers admit it's basically a bait and switch ("subversive marketing") Media matters has quite a bit to add.

How do you define "christo-fascist", or "fascist", for that matter? What about the movie promotes a totalitarian State, where the government combines with large businesses to help them control their markets and freeze out competition, and uses large mass movements and police to control every aspect of its citizens' lives? Does the movie promote the theme, "All within the state, nothing outside the State, nothing against the state", as Mussolini defined the movement he created? This religious film is expanding into the genre of horror. The suggestion that this is not really a horror movie is ludicrous in view of the fact that it has the elements of horror. Plot[edit]

Truth be told[edit]

Quite honestly, if you had read Dr. Peter Kreeft, Thomas Aquinas, or Augustine of Hippo in college or elsewhere, one would realize that the dialogue in Nefarious is spot-on with regard to the luminaries observations. Just because something comes from a Christian perspective, does not invalidate its points. To say otherwise is known as the genetic fallacy: i.e., if Albert Einstein had been a devout Nazi, that would not invalidate the truth of the relativity theory. Most if not all posts opposing this film are couched in either the genetic fallacy or begging the question by assuming certain "truths" to be true in their posits.
