This article needs an expert to go through the material in it for POV

I cleaned up the article Nellore city as best I could. However, someone who knows the area needs to review it. There seems to be POV material in it.

I am from Nellore and cleaned it

I cleaned the article as best as I could. I deleted all the junk information, point of view information, deleted yellow pages like listings(still kept hotels and hospitals and thinking), merged from Nellore District duplicate pages, and also reorganised paragraphs to remove duplicate and sometimes triplicate information.

Personal opinions about Nellore

The social problems section had personal opinions(e.g. nellore people give shelter to new people, nellore people suffer from alge in water). It was also poetic with comparisions. It may be good form of expression, but we do not want to present personal opionions. So I removed them and left only the information I thought are facts. I actually think some of those facts does not fit into this article e.g. there is corruption in nellore, but left it. Agree? Mlpkr 20:06, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

AFAIK, my editions strictly follow the wikipedia guidelines and got nod from wikipedia adminstrators also. The old changes are such things. What do you mean by total picture? Should include with all those original research, biased opinions? I would suggest you few things, discuss such things on nellore talk page, read WP:POV and keep until you get response from others for first time, and also sign your name. About your vandalism to nellore,unknowingly

Mr.Mlpkr,I am sorry to say that you are causing lot of poorly acknowledged things about nellore.See when so many people who have contributed to this section,just by using some superior power here,you cant take this page for granted as your own property and forcing your one-sided opinions on other contributors.In this,you are destroying literal meaning of wiki.Waiting for your explanation. I have never removed any useful information, and removed only OR or POV. I would suggest you not to use vandalism, as I am reverting personal opinions and original research. I am giving one sample paragraph

"Residents of Nellore love it for many reasons, one of them being culture and nature and nostalgia. Though many make fun of the rural Nellore Telugu accent, Nelloreans are known for their lavishness.Nelloreans are respected worldwide. Most are happy-go-lucky and take-it-easy types, and there are enough who are highly ambitious and hard working to make Nellore a much spoken about place. In earlier times they used to give shelter, but as it become risky now a days the practice has stopped. House wives pay visits to nearby temples in the evenings. Men like to watch a movie. People do not hesitate to spend money for personal things and derive pleasure in getting the attention of others by showing off belongings.Men aged between 18-40 years spend evenings hanging around shops selling mobile phones, busy knowing the latest models and prices and service providers with the lowest rates."

These are all personal opinions and also do not add value to article. Such things are suited for blogs, not for encylopedia where we need well cited common opinions and facts. Please read WP:POV, WP:3RR] and WP:OR. I am open to any common ground information or facts. Let me know what is missed and we can discuss. Clarification about article: This is not district article

This is city article, please do not add district industries and temples on this page. There are also some personal beliefs like "most of the contractors have roots in Nellore". I am going to remove them in following days. mlpkr 02:04, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Sri Raja Rajeswari Amma Varu temple is located at Nellore (A.P).This temple is founded by Sri Sri Sri Chandra Sekhar Sarswathi Swami. Amma Varu idol is layed on 06-03-1975 by Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Sarswathi,Late Sri Ratna Swami Mudiliyar and his members.This temple had completed 32 years and now it is entered into 33rd Year.

This temple is very very Powerful and whoever pray for Amma Varu,definetly they are getting success into each and every field.

Urdu name in info section

REASON- Authenticity of the name Nellore from Telugu

Every north Indian(Indo-Aryan) ruler tried to supplant the meanings of the Towns/villages/landmarks/mountains/rivers etc originaly etymological Dravidan with their own versions or else sometimes with entirely different names, THIS IS WHY Telugu towns find alternatives in Sanskrit, kindly comprehend this well. Does you mean that Sanskritic names are superlative

That is the reason the original names remained whereas artificial Sanskritic names faded into obvilion, the town itself is as old as Mauryan period but the Sanskritic name was just an overlay over the original name, 1) that did neither convey the meaning of the settlement in Vernacular, 2) nor remotely resemble the pronunciation of the name of the settlement

But Alas, being so richness & uniqueness Andhra governament never promotes Telugu whole heartedly even today.Without the discussion very few people will know that NELLI in Telugu has a different meaning than that from Tamil. If possible kindly take this meaning to Andhra governament so that it will review it's stance, and stop being partial towards Sanskrit at cost of Telugu
