geminate /l/[edit]

The article reads: "All consonants but these two, /l/, and /ɦ/ may also occur as geminates between vowels." Doesn't बल्ल बल्ल have geminate /l/s? 69.232.192.168 (talk) 06:37, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

nasalization minimal pairs[edit]

The article reads: "They state that minimal pairs are easily obtainable only for the vowel /a/." Don't all the first-person singular and third-person plural past-tense verbs offer minimal pairs for /e/, such as गएँ/गए, खाएँ/खाए, सुतें/सुते ? Also बुझौ/बुझौं, etc., for /ʌu/. 69.232.200.144 (talk) 07:44, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I believe so for /e/, however for /ʌu/ it is more complex since the final ं is often realized more as a consonant sound rather than just a nasalization. Srsh101 (talk) 00:35, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Geminate /j/[edit]
