I agree this is inconsistent. What marks the distinction between a hamlet and a village, and is it purely population or other characteristics? Crowsus (talk) 01:02, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am struggling to find an agreed definition. I suspect population is a factor, but would think number and density of buildings could also be taken into account. I know one historic factor in the UK was whether it had a church or not. Dunarc (talk) 19:40, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
