Did someone mention EVIL?

IF Network Solutions has been phishing its own customers for about a month, would posting a screen shot of the pertinent content be original research, or would that qualify as previously published material on the basis that there are multiple recipients? - Joshua Clement Broyles — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.25.124.164 (talk) 19:59, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

"did someone mention evil"

that entry is made by a china or german man and is totally fake, the name and ip posted are fake

i lived "in the area" of network solutions and am still close enough to knock on their door if i please

what is true is they are now a business (part of verisign) no longer under military laws and jurisdiction

i've been a customer and their customer service was excellent

it's china/asia and germany who are heavily attacking networks and the history of networking itself (offering fake histories so that would be tech moderators have no idea they are being attacked or that the purity of the internet has crumbled and that by original contracts and laws in place when the original internet crubled: it was ALL illegal, and it was not being done by US companies)

Network Solutions has NOT been phishing its own customers — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:143:400:547B:A09F:19E2:B3E3:E1A5 (talk) 14:38, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

Public company?

The article mentions Network Solutions being public in 1997, but is it still public? When did it go private? Would be nice if the public/private status were in the sidebar. bendodge (talk) 23:23, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

wikipedia is hacked by ... ==

"registry under a sub-contract with the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)" is one of the only truthful statements / history images this article promotes other than dropping some names of other institutes

The United States Airforce monitored all networks in the USA (in time that became impractical) to insure against spies and hackers (ie, who many wikipedia moderators are).

The ONLY reason for registration with NS and paying (many had their own servers running domain name) was IT WAS THE LAW - it was due to the "military contract". Others were PROHIBITED from doing the same or doing it for themselves (the police would come to your door if you messed with signaling of the internet in any manner that interested them, your rights to use the telephone would be permanently removed by courts). "reach out and touch someone". Back then running "traceroute" actually worked: for a good reasons, it was the law it did. It still should work - but for most people today it does not. The reason why is internet fraud is very active today and fraudulent routers (injecting, forking, recording) are a big part of that.

Also: the ICANN was a volunteer group that evolved when US AIRFORCE stopped doing certain services, to keep them up and on behalf of AT&T rules (that every customer and business keep off each other's toes on AT&T's telephone lines). ICANN members were bribed to leave and allow the ICANN name (also it's history) to be altered by germany and china (to provide a fake history that the far more pure Internet that had been, never had existed)

It was under Bill Clinton that the airforce was told to "stand down", that ICANN (also RFCs) were demoted: a move many internet civilians dis-agreed with and many would point out have been the source and reason for fake news and internet fraud today - and fake encyclopedia moderators i might add. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:143:400:547B:A09F:19E2:B3E3:E1A5 (talk) 14:32, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

Network solutions is being used by someone in the company to phish

The above poster saying they aren't evil is lying, within a week of signing up for their services my cell phone and the email i registered with the site, not the one displayed on the site were absolutely flooded with phishing scams and robocalls, network solutions while being a decent company has someone working there who's obviously giving away you're info, I would steer clear, I've never seen this much robo calls or spam in one day.

When you sign up for a personal site they ask you to pay a 2$ fee to protect your personal info, then reject it for no reason and flip your info obviously.

Then they make a 15 dollar charge on your account every month even tho you only signed up to spend 3.25$ for one month. Next you get emails revealing your password you used, it's nonstop been happening to me almost a month now.
