Much forested[edit]

"The area features low, rolling hills, and much is forested. The compact township contains much of the population."

I've lived in New Hope for years, and always thought it was much forested until I saw an aerial photograph of the area. Then I realized that there were only three roads out of town, River Road to the north, River Road to the south, and the main highway leading west. All three were bordered by narrow bands of woodlands, which explained the impression I got, while elsewhere, the area was mostly open fields. I don't know why more town planners and zoning boards don't put such designs into effect. It would make a pleasant improvement almost anywhere. D021317c 08:36, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leon Redbone[edit]

What evidence is there that Leon Redbone has any association with New Hope? It is not mentioned in the separate Wikipedia entry on him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.128.80.195 (talk) 15:51, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

^^^Redbone lives just outside of New Hope in Solebury Township. There are a number of problems with this article relating to the some confusion over the fact that the New Hope mailing address includes areas outside of the borough. A number of other residents cited here, as well as the Honey Hollow Watershed, are not actually located in New Hope. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aquetong (talkcontribs) 04:46, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Zakrzewski[edit]

In the notable residents section, is Scott Zakrzewski a notable resident, all I see is that he is a musician with not to much popularity and isn't notable. Any thoughts? MahoganyWood (talk) 02:41, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Abbie Hoffman[edit]

Did Abbie Hoffman live (and die) close enough to the actual town to be considered a noteworthy resident? I believe his home was actually outside of the town proper but I've never been able to identify exactly where. PurpleChez (talk) 16:33, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wells Ferry[edit]

That ferry name (and New Hope predecessor) is on a historical marker in hmdb.org :

https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=28131

I am wondering how that reconciles with what this Wikipedia article has: Coryell's Ferry and Washington having the ferry destroyed. I assume this is part of Washington's retreat from New York (City) area into Pennsylvania, and the article does say that Washington was preventing the British from following him. (Washington crossed back into NJ further south en route to Trenton engagement.)

(DO NOT CONFUSE with Wells Ferry of Pike County, PA; see my remarks in talk page for Milford, Pennsylvania.) Carlm0404 (talk) 01:49, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After I wrote the above, I found both Wells Ferry and Coryell's Ferry mentioned in the same paragraph in Wikipedia article about York Road. Carlm0404 (talk) 02:57, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia article for item mentioned just above: York Road Carlm0404 (talk) 20:09, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Make that Old York Road because of disambiguation. Carlm0404 (talk) 20:10, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
