Untitled[edit]

Dude, how can someone post about New Llano and NOT EVEN MENTION the fact that it had its start as a transplanted (from California), socialist, community experiment that lasted over 25 years before the Depression knocked it into receivership. New Llano is part (a perhaps, outside of religious/ethnic communities like the Amish or the Menonites, one of the greatest successes) of the late-great American tradition of social experimentation in alternative, utopian communities. For wont of a little extra cash during the worst financial crisis of the last century - a crisis that sunk many greater titans than this little community - this place might still be going. Wikipediaphiles, don't let New Llano down!199.80.65.98 21:07, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Llano items of notability[edit]

Someone should write about the police and water. When I lived there this city was notable for these two things in particular:

1. Low speed limits, strict enforcement, and an extreme number of tickets issued. I heard rumors that New Llano issues more tickets per Capita than anywhere else in USA. 2. Water prices were high and if payment was one or two days day late, they send someone out to your house to turn off the water and charge extra to turn it back on. 66.229.18.45 (talk) 12:19, 10 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
