Antarticon[edit]

Antarticon may not have been an actual convention, but it is fondly remembered as the convention that almost was. --Timelord2067 (talk) 04:09, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The thorney issue of 1985[edit]

If anyone dissagrees with the asertions on the New Zealand National Science Fiction Convention page about "The thorney issue of 1985" could they first discuss it here? --Timelord2067 (talk) 06:36, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any particular reason? It's not overly controversial any more. The numbering of NZ SF conventions - even Auckland ones - certainly suggest that there was no 1985 NatCon. In any case, there was far too much peripheral information in the section which was of questionable notability by Wikipedia standards - it needed considerable trimming. Though it is always good to have an editor contributing information to an article, the nature of Wikipedia means that anyone is free to edit that information within reasonable limits. Requesting that any changes automatically be discussed on a talk page first is unnecessary in most cases, especially when the request is made about a new section immediately after it has been added by the editor making that request. No-one owns Wikipedia articles, and only in more extreme circumstances than this article would such a request need to be adhered to. Grutness...wha? 02:46, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
