Sites of interest[edit]

  • I'm torn on if Burgerville should really be included on the "sites of interest" section. While it is just another store in a Northwest chain, a local eatery like that may be of interest to people coming from outside Oregon and Washington. Regardless, if it stays, a note about it being a local restaurant, and a wikilink to the Burgerville page should be added. Pcrackenhead (talk) 00:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • It and pretty much everything else in that section should be removed. Wikipedia is not a travel guide, so these sections are discouraged. I would suggest only those with Wikilinks remain and be moved to a "See also" section. Aboutmovies (talk) 03:46, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done No need to be torn about people adding restaurants (and POV about them), local or not, to articles--99% of the time they should not be included. Katr67 (talk) 18:31, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beavers[edit]

OK, please, pretty please read about our neutral point of view, specifically about what we call undue weight. We do not double the size of an article by adding one incident over the 150 year history of the community. Nor do we give it its own section. Nor do we use it as a soapbox about beavers. If you want to discuss the cons to beaver removal in general, as was done here as shown by the use of sources that have no mention of Newberg in them, then see about adding that removal information to the page about beavers. Not here. If you want to add some history about the city, I'm sure the coming of the railroad was far more important, or the coming of the highway, and there seems to be no info on either. Will consolidate discussion here Talk:Chehalem Creek#Beavers. Aboutmovies (talk) 21:02, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
