I'm contesting why "Newport, Michigan" was changed to redirect to Marine City, Michigan when the Newport name only applied to Marine City for about 30 years in mid-1800s. The Newport name is more common as the current unincorporated community and post office of Newport (Monroe County) in Berlin Township, Michigan. I propose changing the Newport, Michigan redirect to go back to Berlin Township instead of Marine City, especially as Newport (Monroe County) has more potential for its own article. —Notorious4life (talk) 02:32, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
