Club name[edit]

Is the official name of the club "Newtown FC" or "AFC"? Mattythewhite 17:06, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Formation[edit]

Found a reference suggesting the club was formed in 1884 - Montgomeryshire Express, 29 July 1884, p. 5. There is a clear gap from the last appearance of a club from Newtown (White Star) in 1882 and the formation of this one, and the personnel are different. Support probably carried over.
