Still workable[edit]

Reason not to delete: Still able to be expanded (not doing bad for an article only a couple weeks old. A typo where it reads captain should be Colonel.

Notability has not yet been established, see WP:SOLDIER. Please do not remove the tag before discussing the issue here. Kraxler (talk) 12:36, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Says Who? When a tag says I can remove it.... who are you to tell me otherwise?....JGVR (talk) 14:33, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The MOS that you are waving around says: "In particular, individuals will almost always have sufficient coverage to qualify if they: Played an important role in a significant military event; or Commanded a substantial body of troops in combat.... Do you not know that Colonels command troops in significant battles?....JGVR (talk) 14:51, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article currently says nothing about the role of the subject in any battle. It states that he was there. Ok. But what did he do there? He commnanded a regiment (as a colonel), the rule states "For the purposes of these criteria, a "substantial body of troops" refers to a capital ship, a division or larger formation, or their historical equivalents." A regiment is a fraction of a division. So, just being a colonel is not notable. Kraxler (talk) 00:06, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
