Notability[edit]

Will represent Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 the worlds biggest music competition. Instant fame in Azerbaijan as eurovision is really big there. And singing infront of 110 million viewers is definitly notable.--BabbaQ (talk) 21:26, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Her husband is Turkish Cypriot. She has Cypriot citizenship because of this but she is actually from Azerbaijan.Turco85 (Talk) 10:27, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New album[edit]

Details on Nikki's new album 'Play with Me' has been announced and track listings too. New article needs doing perhaps? Wesley Mouse 00:47, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We could but we'll need to wait until its been released and has charted - see WP:NALBUMS. I would advice starting at Wikipedia:Articles for creation for now. Bleubeatle (talk) 01:37, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish name[edit]

I think we have to add her name in Turkish transcription next to her Azerbaijani transcription. Because she was born with name, "Nigar Mütəllibzadə" in Azerbaijan, but she has married with a man from Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic and she uses her husbands surname and it is a Turkish word, "Cemal". Camal is its Azerbaijani-Turkish transcription, people in Azerbaijan know her with this name. In her identity document, she uses the Turkish word - because officially word it is, Camal is just a transcription from Turkey Turkish to Azerbaijani Turkish. I wish you can understand me and fix it. --Akinranbu (talk) 17:02, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at one of the above threads, it looks like her nationality has been mentioned once before. However, in regards to the surname it is advised to use the name that she is known by along with the translation of the country of her origin, in this case is Azerbaijan. If she was born in Turkey, then yes it would be logical of have the Turkish translation. As she isn't, then we should not include such translation. Although there is nothing wrong with our colleagues at Turkish Wikipedia to include such translation into their Turkish version of the article. But sadly not on this one. Thanks.
