Number of sleeper services[edit]

This article states that this is one of three sleeper services. The Caledonian Sleeper article says it is one of two. This is inconsistent can we resolve this and update the erroneous article. Wilmot1 21:40, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Night Rivera is either one of two (Rivera + Caledonian) or three (Riveria + Highlander + Lowlander), or six (Rivera + Fort William + Inverness + Aberdeen + Glasgow + Edinburgh), ...depending on how to count. Take your pick! —Sladen (talk) 21:16, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barbie paint job[edit]

Sometime between October 2007 and March 2008 the Night Rivera stock finally got a repaint into Barbie colours, seemingly as a follow-on to the general HST Mk3 refurbishment. eg. 2008-03-01 dated picture. Time[edit]

So how long does the journey take? The article doesn't say (unless I missed it). A check on thetrainline.co.uk shows that the journey takes five hours during the day and eight hours at night; why the difference? Facilities[edit]

Route[edit]

The removal of the geo. corordinates, in my mind, reduces the usefulness of this page. They allowed a user to switch to Google or Bing and see all the stations laid out in their geographical context. Right, but this is not "a list", or "a table of features". It is a route template diagram. A map. A map that is currently swamped by lots numbers that are not immediately usable, except via clicking in some other box, lower down the page. If coordinates really need to be in the article then it would be preferable to find another location to hide them out of the way. At the moment it distracts from the core purpose of the route map.

Wikipedia is about creating high-quality articles that stand on their own. If this article is printed, then the numbers cease to be useful because the (separate, hidden) {{kml}} link (hidden linking to the separate website does not work when printed). If a person wishes to find out the coordinates of the Penzance railway station, then the coordinates are already contained within that article. Simply duplicating information contained elsewhere merely introduces maintenance issues. —Sladen (talk) 21:04, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Logo[edit]

Non-free content unacceptable use point 17 states:

The following is a non-exhaustive list of examples where non-free content may not be used outside of the noted exceptions…

17. The logo of an entity used for identification of one of its child entities, when the child entity lacks their own branding. Specific child entity logos remain acceptable.

So in a nutshell, the GWR logo can only be used on the GWR article and not child articles such as this. The only logo that should be used on this article is a Night Rivera specific one. Geeuuare (talk) 23:45, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If there is no specific logo, then no logo should be included. Policy stated above is quite clear that the logo of a parent cannot be substituted in lieu.
