Edits to avoid deletion?[edit]

Chinese meaning of Japanese kana?[edit]

This part truly has me puzzled: "In China, especially in Taiwan, の can be used to mean multiple people, especially when applied to young girls." Is the introduction of the kana to Chinese writing a relatively recent development? I don't recall having seen such before. --Tabor 21:52, 29 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What it says is that people in Taiwan, especially young girls, like to use の instead of writing 的, which is the Chinese character that means the same thing (the possessive). They still pronounce it the Chinese way when speaking and this usage does not match Japanese grammar. I have no idea if this is accurate, but it was added by zh:User:Koika, who says he's from Taiwan. - Nat Kraus e 09:13, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
