Name[edit]

Since Noh Alam Shah is Malay, "Alam Shah" is not a surname but a patronym (i.e., his father's name). Shouldn't he be referred to throughout the article as "Noh" rather than as "Alam Shah"? — Cheers, JackLee talk 08:51, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Playing Style?[edit]

Bullish and enthusiastic, Alam Shah's playing style is characterised by physical strength, pace, ability in the air, and opportunistic finishing. With his swashbuckling style and never-say-die commitment upfront, he is a firm favourite with fans, despite his volatile temper that got the better of him numerous times. Is there a need to describe this? Even much more famous well known players in Barclay Premier League weren't praised in anyway of their playing styles. Example Theo Walcott is not even praised for his sprints. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dsdsasds (talkcontribs) 11:46, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alam Shah attributes his temper to an unhappy childhood. In a 2006 interview with The New Paper, he revealed that he was involved in gangs in his youth.

Alam Shah's nickname of "Along" means "Big Brother" in Malay – a reference to his astute leadership. It also means loan shark in Chinese.
