Plural name?

Usually article titles are in singular form. I would expect this article to be Non-inscrit, therefore. Is it the case that English uses "Non-inscrits" for the singular as well, because of some arcane reason? --Orzetto 12:21, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Tom Wise

Use in other institutions than European parliament

Just stumbled upon this problem since Non-attached is being forwarded to this page: There are Non-attached MPs as well in the National Council of Austria as in the Federal Council of Austria. In other parliaments maybe as well? Independent (politician) isn't quite the right article for it (since they are all member of parties, just not strong enough to form a group of their own in parliament), so what should I do? Just change the article so that it's clear the term is not just used in the European Parliament, or create a new one ("Non-Inscrits" as a specific term only being used by the European Parliament, as far as I'm aware)...? --Completefailure (talk) 21:49, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing (but could be wrong) that the fact the name is French comes from French politics, there are indeed non-inscrits at the French Assemblée Nationale : http://www.assemblee-nationale.fr/qui/xml/organe.asp?id_organe=/13/tribun/xml/xml/organes/387155.xml , so it's not specific to the EP Aesma (talk) 12:54, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Expelled party members

Shouldn't MEPs like Mario Borghezio, who is a member of Lega Nord national party, be listed as a NI because the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group expelled him, even though Lega Nord is still part of the group? Europarl lists him as NI. The current table, which is party-centric, is not set up for this. Int21h (talk) 15:49, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Former members

It is an even worse idea to remove them. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a directory, and presents facts in a historical perspective. For this reason, membership tables cover an entire legislature (with a note for people who change affiliation), and not the "current" composition.
