[Untitled][edit]

Hello i would like to make changes to the articles (German and English) of Norbert Klassen. I am an artist who knew Klassen and started to archive his life and work with him when he was alive. When he died in 2011, i was asked by the owners of his estate to investigate his life and work through his estate. After two and one half years of researching i am one of the co-editors (there are three of us) of the only concise publication about the life and work of Klassen. In the past 2 years we have personally been supported by all his collaborateurs and friends such as Janet Haufler, Stefan Kurt, Boris Nieslony, Jürgen Olbrich, Urs Peter Schneider and many more. We would like to rewrite the information on Norbert Klassen in Wikipedia in order to make all our information accesable to people interested in Norbert Klassen. Many of the exerpts and information on the now existing pages have been taken from articles and information that either i myself, Gabriel Flückiger, OVRA Archives or the Swiss art institute has published. sincerely RenéeMagaña (talk) 16:27, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@RenéeMagaña: Greetings! Because you are working on behalf of the estate of Klassen, you have a conflict of interest and should not edit the article directly. You will need to request desired changes here on this talk page. The usual format is to request the specific change and to cite the secondary source that supports the change. (For example: Change "Superman saved 13 people" to "12 people" based on this story (give link) in the Daily Planet.)
The complicating factor with sourcing is that, as one of the editors of the book, anything you add falls into the spectrum of original research. That's why it's all the more vital that you provide the sources and let other, independent editors vet the sources before adding to the article. —C.Fred (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

when i started researching Norbert Klassen the first place i looked was wikipedia. but since there is not really any information on Norbert Klassen and the sources available and cited within the article have been made available through our research, we wont be able to site ourselves. our goal is to publish as much information on the artist we have collected as possible. with a page on wikipedia having less than 30 viewers in the last two years, we thought it would be possible to share our information here for those interested. since the sources are all from oral histories and research from the book, i do not believe that they will be acceptable as sources if i understand the policies correctly.

can the book "Norbert Klassen, „Warum applaudiert ihr nicht?“, Marcel Bleuler, Gabriel Flückiger, Renée Magaña (Hrsg.), Stämpfli Verlag, Berne, 2016, ISBN 978-3-7272-1452-3 at least be added to the bibliography list so people can view it and then cite themselves?
