The result of the move request was: Moved back to original title, as proposed. Have also redirected (film character) to Green Goblin in other media#Film. (non-admin closure) Natg 19 (talk) 02:19, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Norman Osborn (film character)Norman Osborn (Sam Raimi film series): This is an adaptation of a comic book villain. He wasn't introduced through the medium of film as the naming of the article suggests. He has also appeared in several other media. This adaptation is from the Sam Raimi series. His upcoming appearance in the MCU doesn't hinder this. Really shouldn't have been moved in the first place. The Optimistic One (talk) 21:05, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment — there's a solid number of instances of various pages and redirects having "film character" in the title. Paintspot Infez (talk) 00:44, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: The disambiguator Sam Raimi film series equally suggests that this character was introduced though film. This is a better and more WP:CONCISE dab to cover appearances across two series, and appearances in other media does not render the previous title, which also mentioned "film series", any more accurate. IronManCap (talk) 14:47, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: I'm also the person who moved the page, and have equally agreed with IronManCap's opposition above. — ChannelSpider (talk) 18:33, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: There's another iteration of Norman Osborn who appears in the Marc Webb/Amazing Spider-Man duology, so keeping this title would suggest that this version appeared there when he did not.--WuTang94 (talk) 03:45, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Actually support per WuTang94, and we do not have full confirmation that it is indeed the Raimi Green Goblin in No Way Home, so this is a bit WP:CRYSTAL too. IronManCap (talk) 12:52, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Amazing Spider-Man (2012—14) Norman is pretty minor in TASM 2, but indeed, support per WuTang94. — ChannelSpider (talk) 13:15, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I'd argue the rename would make sense per WuTang94 and IronManCap, but do you think Norman Osborn (film character) should be disambiguation page for either Norman Osborn in the Raimi films and Norman Osborn in the Webb films? -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 17:44, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds like a good idea. IronManCap (talk) 17:51, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    Yeah. — ChannelSpider (talk) 17:53, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think it should be a redirect to Green Goblin in other media, which should talk about Norman Osborn portrayed in film. I don't think a page exists for the Norman in TASM 2 as that version isn't that notable. --WuTang94 (talk) 18:24, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So redirect to Green Goblin in other media#Film? IronManCap (talk) 18:31, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Basically. Also there's no page for TASM 2 Norman since he appears in like, one scene. Hopefully a page mover moves this to Norman Osborn (Sam Raimi film series) and the redirect is created. — ChannelSpider (talk) 18:36, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Norman Osborn Background History[edit]

In NWH it's implied Osborn is aware of Octavius as a fellow scientist, but there's nothing to suggest the two were particularly close. Why is this implied in the article? 81.96.20.118 (talk) 00:16, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the sentence in question. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:37, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
