Comment[edit]

Almost all of the information in this article refers to the hospital's status at the turn of the 20th century. There is almost no information about the hospital's current state of affairs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.7.141.2 (talk) 15:14, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A suggestion[edit]

Article should state more clearly that the hospital is currently active.

Issues[edit]

This page contains a lot of highly-detailed information that makes it difficult to read and doesn't add to the subject at hand. I hardly think the hospital's cafeteria menu is necessary as a section of this article, so I'm going to go ahead and remove it. Also, much of the statistics and information about activities may be outdated since they lack citations and time periods. I am having a hard time distinguishing between what is historical information and what is recent. Destin (talk) 23:17, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article is missing a lot of information and is very poorly written. Growing up near the State Hospital, I know of twice in the 1980-2000s when nurses were held hostage (and maybe killed) by patients or ex-employees. I was also told that patients used to be allowed to leave on weekends, and on Friday afternoons would be allowed to walk out the gates at Stanbridge and Steirger Streets while high school kids walked home. (That would have been in the mid 70s). The State Hospital, also referred to as the Farm Park now has a paved walking trail, baseball fields, and other amenities. I would love to learn more about this history of this facility as well as up to date information. Many buildings look abandoned, but it is obvious people are still there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.227.244.106 (talk) 01:40, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GOCEreviewed[edit]

As other editors have already noted, this article seems to have been sourced from a century-old document and is desperately out of date. The present version is not worth copy editing. A useful (primary) source might be this one. --Stfg (talk) 18:05, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
