External links[edit]

There really were more links here than article so I have substanially reduced the list and will keep an eye on it. There are still a few more I want to review. It must be remembered that, while everyone's link has a relevance to someone, by and large Wikipedia is not the place for them. It is an encyclopedia not a directory - thanks --Nigel (Talk) 17:22, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Focus of this article[edit]

Why does this article focus on the "North Devon" area as defined as the area of North Devon District Council, not the wider, generic, North Devon that would include the most of the Torridge district and part of Mid-Devon district? That, after all, would be what most locals would understand as North Devon. - fchd (talk) 16:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Most people in Torridge consider themselves in North Devon. Without qualification it generally refers to just the geographical northern area of devon. 80.235.138.77 (talk) 10:41, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Transport[edit]

The transport section currently refers to North Devon as being "relatively" well-served for transport compared to its neighbouring regions. There is no reference on this page, or in the Torridge or West Somerset articles to the extent of their transport infrastructure. On this basis, I don't feel we have properly supported the assertion that North Devon is "relatively well-served". It therefore either needs supporting or changing.
