Update[edit]

I have restored the "update" tag that I placed on the article earlier. Though tables of competition results have been updated, the text of the article concludes around 9 January, before the Games started. The text about the athletes entering South Korea cites a source from 19 May 2017! I "updated" the introduction merely by changing the tense. It said "North Korea will compete". There is a long "Background" section mostly written when it was unclear if North Korea was going to compete. This is mostly out of date and could be cut down. Then there is practically no text. The longest passage of text about the Games itself is in a footnote. There is no mention of the delegation that North Korea sent, including Kim Yong-nam and Kim Yo-jong, along with musicians and cheerleaders. There is no mention of the diplomatic initiative that accompanied the Games. Therefore it needs to be updated.--Jack Upland (talk) 00:47, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken the tag off because I have done some updating. The article could still do with some work, but it doesn't look like anyone wants to do it. It is still heavily weighed towards events before the Games. I guess this is an unusual case in which there have been political moves in parallel with the sport. The articles for other countries just have tables of results.--Jack Upland (talk) 05:31, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
