Location? And Notablity?[edit]

Presumably, since this was in the Gulf Islands category it must be the one near Saltspring mentioned in this BCGNIS entry for Protection (Donaldson) Island which is down by Sooke Basin and not in the Gulf. However I've been unable to find an entry for Secretary Island - or more particularly for North Secretary Island - in my BCGNIS searching so far, at least in a proximity search around Saltspring. In addition to zero'ing in on it so it can be ref'd and coord'd ,what is its notability?? The BC Coast has tens of thousands of islands and islets, the Gulf alone has thousands, including hundreds of this size. Does it have historical notability? Geological notability? Why does it need an article? And where exactly is it, and why does a google for BCGNIS+"North Secretary" turn up no results? i.e. does it have a different official name?Skookum1 (talk) 04:34, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, well this answers that, i.e. location - "Secretary Islands" with no specfici ref to North Secretary, but fair enough; it may be more appropriate for this article to be titled Secretary Islands. I'll add the coords and BCGNIS now, but notability remains an issue; simply being named for someone historical, unless they are very notable (e.g. an L-G, Premier etc) isn't enough.Skookum1 (talk) 04:37, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
