Ceased operation[edit]

This short lived operation has definitely stopped scheduled flights the article and the refs are a little confused about whether it is still a chapter operation.. Andrewgprout (talk) 10:26, 11 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What is unclear about "... without significant investment, North Shore Air will be confined to charter flights only in future" (http://www.sunlive.co.nz/news/112261-north-shore-air-halt-tauranga-flights.html, 30 Oct 2015)? Yes that is a clear statement as far as it goes. If I understand it correctly the airline was created as a commercial scheduled arm of the North Shore Aero Club, and as such it is possible that it was to the club that the charter flights refer to. It was the conundrum that this ref was saying something different than the article that I made the comment here in the first place. Certainly all of the airline's web presence has gone suggesting the charter comment is not being fulfilled. I will have a go at looking for extra refs (although I suspect there will not much more) and further cleaning up the content as it is certainly currently rather eratic. The article linked above says, "'We have also pulled the website,' says Peter. 'We were advertising for the schedule, but we will probably put it up again and just have charter flights available.'" In other words, the website will probably come back once it is rewritten with charter info instead of scheduled flights. We must, of course, follow published info, and not veer off into speculation about, for example, charter comments not being fulfilled. Nurg (talk) 07:15, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The operative word being 'probably' in the above statement - also in the Newspaper article is '....that North Shore Air's signage has been removed from the Dairy Flat airfield.' Doesn't sound hopeful to me.... Andrewgprout (talk) 19:26, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article is written to imply that North Shore Air no longer exists. Experienced editors know the rules about unverifiable information. That info should be removed until such time that someone finds a source (if there is one). Nurg (talk) 23:36, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
