Images[edit]

Default sizes are too big... I think they need to be resized. What do you people think? (WP:ImageSize) ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 14:58, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Try changing your user preferences? --DAJF (talk) 15:06, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's maybe ok for me, but we should have concern for one another's needs. Not all the visitors have their accounts. Current sizes are ok for my laptop Dimension, but my Thinkpad is crying. ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 15:26, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The whole point of having a default image thumbnail size is that it is a happy medium that will please most people - not all, but most. Readers who are not logged in will see the image as 180px wide, which is hardly huge. If people have problems with images of that size, they will have problems viewing any Wikipedia article that includes images. Forcing an image size imposes the wishes of a few people on the majority, so should be avoided unless absolutely essential, as stated at WP:ImageSize. --DAJF (talk) 15:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My Thinkpad, who is not logged in, see the image as 220 * 304 px. My Dimension's MS-IE, not Firefox, who is not logged in, also see the image as 220 * 304px. What do you think? ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 15:55, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
not ok for my screen (IE), too large and it's creating a shitty blank area like this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.222.52.12 (talk) 16:28, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
lol mine also ;) ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 16:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More visitors, more opinion please!!! I'd suggest 135 px ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 17:15, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think so. Especially about the first one. I've suggested it to be 140px though. The Wifechaser (talk) 02:19, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
what about the second one? ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 05:01, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you make the second image (convenience store magazine rack photo) any smaller, it will pretty much become meaningless as an image, since it won't be at all clear what it shows. As I mentioned above, if you are having problems viewing images that are already this small, you will surely be having problems with any Wikipedia article, so you really should consider changing your preference settings rather than imposing on the majority of viewers who are happy with the default settings and don't want to have to squint at tiny thumbnail images. --DAJF (talk) 05:39, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
@Rosa Gonzalez : As for the second one, I'd say I agree with Mr. DAJF, or I think nothing about it. Because I'm probably biased, since I'm the creator of it. But since you asked, I'd say there is no problem with it being displayed at the default size. The Wifechaser (talk) 12:59, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanx!!! I think the second pic is ok but I still suggest the first pic 135 ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 11:18, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
IMO - The first picture should be reduced - mainly for an other reason - it should be used, but since it's a very historical picture of that type, it should be much smaller than the other present-day picture. Simply it looks weird now. --F.B.E. (talk) 16:25, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
your suggest size pleeeeease ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 20:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About User:DAJF's claim[edit]

He said "Yes, I read Japanese, but the phrase you quote is not included anywhere on the page cited. Please check the URL", and "the phrase" I quote is : "グラビアに適応するために意図して増量してきたことが注目される。". ...Hmm? The Wifechaser (talk) 04:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I couldnt read Japanese language since I'm Puerto Rican but I tried my browser's page searching (top down menu "E -> F"), and yes, I found the sentence you quoted! ---Rosa Gozalez (talk) 05:16, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what's happening here, but I still can't find the claimed phrase anywhere on that page. Of course I have also tried using the page search function. Is it actually on that page, or is it on a different page that is linked to that page? Sorry for being picky, but we really have to verify sources for controversial and potentially libelous claims such as models gaining weight etc. in accordance with WP:BLP. --DAJF (talk) 05:39, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Stop lying ... [1] ---- Account for N Sasaki disc (talk) 06:45, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It would be nice if you assumed good faith rather than accusing me of lying on your first edit after creating a Wikipedia account, but no, I wasn't lying. I don't know if it was a bug in my browser or what, but I too can now see the line on that page, so have re-added the statement to the article. Sorry for wasting everyone's time. --DAJF (talk) 07:01, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Information from unreliable sources[edit]

I am a professional translator living in Tokyo. I think this article contains some pieces of information from unreliable sources including tabloids and similar websites. Most of the Japanese publishing houses are small- and medium-sized enterprises, and financially vulnerable. Some of Japan's leading publishing houses dare to use tabloid journalism, notably in their shūkanshi (weekly magazines), probably to reach profitability.

I do very much appreciate the editors' painstaking efforts in compiling information, mostly written in Japanese, into this informative article, but I would shortly like to take the liberty of deleting some pieces of information that I believe are unreliable. I welcome reasonable arguments in a fair manner, preferably in simple English.

The first step is probably to tag the specific sections or references that you consider badly sourced using the {{Better source}} or {{Unreliable source}} tags. That way, other editors can also have a look to see whether they need better sources or should be removed out-right. --DAJF (talk) 05:49, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your time and kind advice! I'm going to follow it. --Anaguma0912 (talk) 12:25, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I want to know if Nozomi Sasaki has siblings[edit]

I say this because this article doesn't say about her family or relatives. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:647:101:d030:84c7:5ab0:f8d7:40a9 (talk) 02:11, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
