This is complete bullshit[edit]

I hate how Wikipedia only gives a shit about what popular sources call something a genre, and not what really makes a genre a fucking genre. All of these "nu" bullshit genres are failures. Blindeffigy (talk) 18:36, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's how Wikipedia works. If we don't have a source for a definition of something like a genre, then we have to rely on external sources. Go read Wikipedia:No original research. DS (talk) 13:34, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While you are at it maybe you should read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines too... StillHere83 (talk) 02:15, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's legitimate[edit]

Nu-Disco is well established. Have you heard it? It's great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.232.48.185 (talk) 08:26, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Disco Edits and Cleaning Up the Notable Artists[edit]

I'm going to add a section on Disco Edits, because I believe that they are an essential (and growing) component of the nu disco scene. I'll also be cleaning up the section on notable artists, mostly because many of the mentioned artists are not notable, and some could barely even qualify as nu disco! Please take a look at my changes and feel free to edit (although I will fight you about it if I disagree!). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Veilnebula (talkcontribs) 06:14, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I added in some extremely notable artists like Kylie and Calvin. Can't believe they were neglected =( ErdoSa (talk) 15:59, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Erdosa, Kylie Minogue and Calvin Harris shouldn't be listed as notable nu-disco artists because only a small fraction of their songs could be considered nu-disco. They're both definitely pop and should be categorized as such. If you'd like, you could edit their pages to note the nu-disco influences, but they don't represent the genre and probably shouldn't be listed on this page unless you want to create a section for nu-disco in pop music. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Veilnebula (talkcontribs) 09:21, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is not BS[edit]

Anyone who has been to a nightclub in any major European city recently will recognize nu-disco. Old-fashioned disco with a 21st century electronic touch. 2A02:1811:103:9D00:297F:DF7F:522:A286 (talk) 20:38, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
