Authenticity / historical accuracy

Neopagan and "historic" Norse/ethnic music, which poses as "authentic," is just an approximation of what Norse music *may* have sounded like. There is no knowledge of how *real* Norse music would have sounded like, due to the lack of documented song and sound structures.

I am not an expert on that topic, but I think that there should be a disclaimer for bands like Nytt Land, Wardruna, Heilung et al., that their sound is merely *inspired* by historic Norse poems, and in no way a realistic representation of how music in these regions at the time must have sounded like. Otherwise, an unsuspecting reader may deduct, that these bands recreate true, authentic Norse songs (which they simply cannot, due to the lack of source material.)
