Not the only bridge wider than it is long. The Torensluis in Amsterdam is also wider than it is long (42m wide, 30m long). --Per1892 (talk) 16:38, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've also always found that a somewhat suspect claim. The Torensluis is definitely wider than long, but there is a weird little qualifier in the assertion here that O'Connell bridge is the "only traffic bridge" wider than it is long. And the Torensluis isn't a road/traffic bridge. Being more a stationary barge at this stage with Cafés/etc. I still think the claim needs tempering though. Given that it's still uncited. I've removed the "widest in Europe" claim - was "citation needed" for a v. long. Qualifier that it's widest traffic bridge makes the claim - if true - barely notable. SSCOhA (talk) 16:12, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
