Relationship to the Attorney General of Oklahoma[edit]

This article suggests that Secretary of Safety and Security oversees the Attorney General of Oklahoma, but according to that article the Attorney General is an independently-elected official separate from the Governor's Office which suggests that this article needs to be edited to clarify the relationship between the two offices. I would do it myself, but I am not familiar with wiki-table formatting procedures. --TommyBoy (talk) 11:04, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Cabinet Secretary has no operational authority over the Attorney General. The Secretary serves for liaison purposes only between the Governor and the Attorney General. The Cabinet Secretary also oversees the budget and personnel requests for the Attorney General's Office to be included in the Governor's annual budget request to the Legislature. -- Rougher07 (talk) 04:37, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
