I've again removed links for two websites, recently restored without comment. These websites for Road Warriors Paralegal Services Inc (described as a link to an "Ontario Court of Justice Traffic Ticket Tutorial") and Dynamic Legal Solutions (described as a link to "Ontario Court of Justice Traffic Ticket Defence Information") are in no way affiliated with the Ontario Court of Justice. Moreover, as commercial sites their inclusion runs counter to Wikipedia's policy concerning external links, Need I add that the subject of this article is the Ontario Court of Justice? For the fifth time in three months I've removed the link which to Road Warriors Paralegal Services Inc, which was originally added and repeatedly restored by Rh98aa (talk · contribs). The most recent edit summary provided by Rh98aa is correct in that an external link need to be affiliated with the Ontario Court of Justice. My observation above, which I repeat here, is that the description is misleading. In short, what is titled "Ontario Court of Justice Traffic Ticket Tutorial" is a link to a Road Warriors Paralegal Services Inc page titled "Tutorial - Fight Speeding or Traffic Tickets in Ontario Provincial Offences Court". While not an ad, a charge that hasn't been made, the page advises the visitor to "seek the advice of a paralegal or law firm" and provides a link to the various services offered by Road Warriors Paralegal Services Inc. The inclusion of the link runs counter to external link guidelines, specifically links normally to be avoided: as a site " that primarily exist[s] to sell products or services", and as a site that is "only indirectly related to the article's subject". Again, the subject of this article is the Ontario Court of Justice - moreover, it features no mention of traffic tickets. Victoriagirl 17:10, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Court of Ontario"[edit]

The Ontario Court of Justice is a creation under the Ontario Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. c. C-43 (and is a continuation of the former Ontario Court (Prov. Div.) as per the Act). However, at least since the Courts of Justice Act has come into force, there is no such thing as the 'Court of Ontario', and the Court of Justice is not a 'division' of such an entity. Although all three Ontario Courts (Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and Court of Appeal) are created under the same Act, they are three seperate entities. Judges of this court[edit]

Does anyone have information about the judges of this court? I was hoping to find some details about their appointment, term limits and if there is any method of accountability. I'm not sure about the protocol here, but it may be more efficient to post a link to the Ontario Court of Justice website (page that lists all current justices) instead of listing them out. Keeping this list updated and accurate would require weekly revisions. There is a yearly average of 50-60 new judges appointed to fill vacancies due to retirement and, on occasion, appointment to a higher court.

As to your question, judges and justices of the peace are not term appointments, they continue in office until they retire, resign or get removed from the bench (very rare) due to misconduct. On the question of accountability, complaints about judges are reviewed by the Ontario Judicial Council (see section 49 of the Ontario Courts of Justice Act). The Council, among other remedies, can recommend revocation of the judge's appointment. Slobern (talk) 18:29, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree. There are a lot of OCJ judges, and there are multiple rounds of appointments. I think we should keep the Chief Justice and Associate Chief Justices listed.
