Improving score?[edit]

I don't get the idea of "improving score". Shouldn't be it preserved and kept intact? Who are we to correct Bach. 194.41.40.62 (talk) 20:40, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Almost every score has some errors and misprints, even in the composers' own hand. Scholarly editions can correct them; see Urtext edition. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 01:30, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
