British honours for services in the Falklands War

How was the honouring of British soldiers who had distinguished themselves during the Falklands War carried out? I first thought that their names might feature in the 1983 New Year Honours (they don't), then that perhaps there might have been a special "Falklands Honours List" (there wasn't). Can a knowable author enlighten me on the honours process after the conflict, please? Adelshaus (talk) 21:20, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

@Adelshaus:
Many talkpages receive very little traffic, and your question additionally is hidden below a horrendous entry from the Internet Archive. I must mention, too, that this page is intended for efforts toward creating and improving the associated article, and resolving issues thereof. Your question would by many be read as off topic; therefore a more useful venue might be the wp:Reference_Desk. Cheers. rags (talk) 21:03, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
@Adelshaus:: there was indeed a special list. Campaigns are usually recognised by a separate honours list that appears between the two main publication dates; it can take a few months to publish a list after the conflict has finished (which is rarely a clear thing, although in the Falklands case it was). Wikipedia mentions 'dissolution', 'resignation' and a few other special lists, but not campaigns. Not sure why, although frankly it's not easy to find details anyway. I knew what I was looking for and it still took me 15 minutes to find this link to the London Gazette of 8 October 1982, which is what I think you're looking for: [1]
User:Ragityman: Adelshaus is quite entitled to enquire as to why this sort of information is not included. It is an omission and should be addressed. Wiki-Ed (talk) 20:11, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
