Verification: Sky and Telescope and Astronomy are magazines that have been in circulation for 81 and 49 years respectively, so they probably count as "respected publications." Each one has an online article about this star party, and both seem to be written by staff writers. Maybe those articles would be considered sufficient to verify most of the information here. (I remember one of the magazines having a print article as well, which I'm sure is better, but I don't have access to those.)
