Extreme hypochondria[edit]

See here:

  • Baron Oskar von Redwitz, an eighteenth century German poet. The good Baron w^as what you might call a hypochondriac's hypochondriac. For the last 28 years of his life he complained of a new ailment every day. By the time he died at 68, he had managed to describe more than 1,000 different illnesses. And what's more every one of them was completely unknown to medical science! .

Now, this is hardly what one would call a reliable source. But otoh I don't imagine they just made this up. So, does this have any semblance to the truth, and is there a better source? -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 21:35, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
