The article plainly asserts notability within the first sentence: Sir Otho Prior-Palmer was a Member of Parliament of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Promotion[edit]

article says 'In March 1936, Prior-Palmer was promoted Major.[6] However, he sued for and was granted a divorce in 1936..' Puzzled by the however. Are majors considered unlikely divorcees?
