1967 Opium War?[edit]

The Opium Wars took place in China from the 1840s-1860. What does this third conflict have to do with it? LordAmeth 00:11, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Opium War referred to was an engagement involving 1400 men, at the end of July 1967, between the KMT and Khun Sa in an Laotian bordertown. Rattikone used his airforce to bomb the lot and captured 16t of Opium which he used for his private enterprise. This action made him the prime mover in Laotian Opium smuggling.^[1]^[2]
