Disambig[edit]

I still think that this page needs a disambig to the earlier Outland (film). Not only do the two films share similar names, but because of the way titles on wikipedia are constructed similar article names. However this is just my opinion, I'll respect user Erik's asssertion that such an disambig is not needed. If in case a consensus of users decides that the disambig is needed, I've saved the line I used below.

After reviewing the existing disambiguation pages, I see what you're trying to do and have restored it using a "for" template. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 17:04, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, you've done a better job of it than I have, I just try make them look the same rather than use the template.KTo288 18:27, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is not Wikipedia language[edit]

In the teaser: "... He sure ain't combining..." Take that out please, the Weinstein company doesn'tneed to be cited 1:1. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.3.108.160 (talk) 19:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Year of release[edit]

The IMDB has Outlander down as being released in 2008. Where does the 2009 release come from? Euchrid (talk) 13:41, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I've changed that. Someone decided to only take the US release dates into account when it was released across Europe in various parts of 2008. Canterbury Tail talk 12:32, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Beowulf[edit]

The quote that compares this film to Highlander and Braveheart is very misleading. The film is a retelling of Beowulf and so should be grouped with 13th Warrior/Beowulf/Beowulf and Grendle. The Sci Fi element is actually used as little more than a framing device and the main plot is actually far closer to Beowulf than those other films. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.96.141.94 (talk) 17:18, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would say it's more close to the 13 warrior, the story is basically the same. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.253.254.48 (talk) 10:54, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

financial stuff[edit]

another film realised with money from german "filmfoerderung". please add that to the article, thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.53.57.143 (talk) 19:31, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Roberts or Christopher Paul Roberts[edit]

It currently says the film was co-produced by "Christopher Roberts", which links to Christopher Paul Roberts. I suspect the actual co-producer might rather have been Chris Roberts (film producer). But I don't know for sure. Maybe someone should check that. 31.16.107.239 (talk) 04:57, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A light combination of Braveheart and what?[edit]

I can't edit this because I don't know the missing film title, but obviously one is missing from this sentence: "Caviezel has described Outlander as a light combination of Braveheart." Braveheart and what? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.253.62.82 (talk) 07:18, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Slight mistake![edit]

It reads, "Kainan was dispatched to capture the beast and was returning with it to his homeworld when it broke free and caused the crash.", it's slightly different. The ship Kainan was on, was sent to the planet to bring back the bodies of the colonists and while doing that the beast/Moorwen somehow managed to board the ship and caused it to crash on earth. They had no intention of taking the Moorwen with them. 82.40.163.37 (talk) 01:27, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
