Electrification[edit]

I see nothing in this article (nor in any articles for the stations in the branch) about electrification - not just when it was done, but not even that it IS electrified. --JimWae (talk) 20:27, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With a search of the page, I found out (in a minor note) that electrification ends only one stop past Mineola. Also, only close examination of the photo shows it not to be an electric train.--JimWae (talk) 20:33, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the train in that picture dual-powered, though? I thought most of the "diesel" trains the LIRR used were actually diesel-electric. -------User:DanTD (talk) 21:16, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
