Regarding notability ("a topic is notable if it has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, reliable published works, whose sources are independent of the subject itself"), a number of news items specifically on PA's have appeared, as its emergence as a music venue has brought a lot of people to the neighborhood who would almost certainly never go there otherwise. Given the current business/cultural/demographic shifts mounting in the square, this is not insignificant. One example:
- Morse, Steve. "Union Square Wakes Up At Night." Boston Globe, July 25, 2002. Solely deals with PA's as new venue in local music circuit.
- "The latest club to join Union Square's live entertainment scene is PA's Lounge, a funky, non-upscale spot right up the street from Tir na nOg and not far from the more chic Independent," etc.
I'll post more when I find them, but they do appear with some regularity.
There is more that can be said as well, as currents in venues have a great impact on the state of the local rock 'n' roll community. The emergence of smaller venues such as the Abbey Lounge, Great Scott, and PA's has filled a certain void for smaller, unsigned acts incapable or unwilling to endeavor to fill rooms like the Middle East.

- I think P.A.'s certainly is notable enough to qualify for inclusion. It has very recently become a much talked about underground venue for acts both legendary and new. If bookings continue as they are much more will be heard about P.A.'s. Inoculatedcities 00:49, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
