Talk:P ring

I saw that this article at some point in its history had been tagged for deletion. I neither object nor encourage that, though I created it. My motivation for creating it was because it was requested by another article (flagellum if I remember correct), and my hope was that someone more knowledgeable than me would expand it.

The information that could be on this page could: describe the protein(s) composing the P ring, including e.g. any ratios if it were homomeric, the diversity between species and difference on P rings in Na+ and H+ driven flagella (if any), information about any whether any domains were more conserved than others and any knowledge of any physiological function other than serving as an anchoring element. I am clearly not competent to write about this, neither do I believe that it’s likely that much of the information needed to improve the article by expanding it with my suggestions are currently known by anyone.
